Henning, English and Swedish teacher and AI lead at the school, describes the core challenge:
“It’s hard to reach every student in a class of 30. If we get access to tools that can interact with students in their learning, we’ll be able to support them right there and then — and help them grow at their own level.”

Ellie Jabari, who teaches English and religion, can clearly see the possibilities:
“There are a lot of essays to grade, and we have many other responsibilities as teachers. The challenge has been maintaining quality all the way through — and that’s where time has been an issue. The possibilities with this tool are huge.”

That’s how Fredrik Lemmel, co-founder of Campus Nacka Strand, explains their motivation for adopting Gradr.
“We want to streamline teaching and free up time in the classroom. When we saw what Gradr could do, we were thrilled. If it hadn’t been developed already, we would’ve built it ourselves.”
The school sees the technology as a way to strengthen their student-first approach, giving teachers more flexibility — especially in a setting where students often have packed schedules due to sports.

One of the reasons the implementation has been successful is the school’s involvement in shaping the tool.
“It’s great that we as teachers are included and get to help develop the platform,” said Erling. “That makes a big difference.”
Moving forward
For Nacka Idrottsgymnasium, Gradr has become more than just a tool — it’s part of a bigger shift in how education can work when teachers have the right support. AI isn’t replacing their expertise — it’s helping them focus it where it matters most.
As Fredrik puts it:
“In five years, we’ll have a unique way of working with students and supporting their development. Gradr is helping us get there.”
