Gradr has started working with LEO Academy Trust as its first development partner in the UK. Together, we have begun a product collaboration focused on adapting Gradr to the UK curriculum.
“At LEO Academy Trust, we are always looking for innovative ways to support our teachers and enhance pupil outcomes. We are delighted to be Gradr’s first UK development partner because they share our belief that the best EdTech is built with teachers, not just for them. By collaborating to tailor this platform specifically to the UK curriculum, our staff are helping shape a tool that delivers high-quality, meaningful feedback while actively reducing teacher workload.” Phillip Hedger, CEO
The UK is a natural next step for Gradr. It is a system with strong academic standards and a clear structure around assessment and feedback, which makes it an exciting environment to build in.
This means building closely with teachers in a new context — understanding how feedback is written, what challenges exist, and how tools need to fit into everyday classroom work. This includes adapting how feedback is structured, how criteria are interpreted, and how teachers work with assessment in the UK system.
The goal is not to copy what worked in Sweden. It is to build something that actually works in the UK.
By working directly with LEO Academy Trust, Gradr gets continuous feedback from teachers and can iterate quickly on what matters most.
“This is an important step for us,” says Noah Langert Hedman, Co-founder and CEO of Gradr. “Working closely with LEO Academy Trust allows us to learn faster and build something that truly fits the needs of teachers in the UK.”
Gradr’s ambition is to make high-quality, consistent feedback easier to deliver — at scale, without adding more work for teachers.
