What you get as a student
Writing, handing in, getting feedback and picking it back up — all in one place, in the same platform the teacher grades in.
Exams directly in Gradr
Take your exams in open or locked mode, right in the platform.
Detailed feedback on every task
When your teacher returns your work, you see comments linked to your own answers — what you did well and what to develop further.
Keep developing your text
See your teacher's feedback at the next lesson and develop your text in multiple steps — the whole process is saved in Gradr.
Support when you need it
Text-to-speech, extended exam time, and other individual accommodations — your teacher activates the support you're entitled to.
More feedback for you, so you have something concrete to improve on.
Your teacher sets the grade
Gradr does not set grades and never shows you a suggested one. The assessment is and stays your teacher’s.
Your teacher approves every comment you see
Nothing is passed on automatically. Your teacher reads it through, changes what needs changing and decides what is returned to you.
Comments anchored to your own sentences
You see where in the text something works and where it needs developing — and what you can concretely do about it.
Your texts stay inside the EU
Everything is stored with Hetzner in Finland and is never used to train AI models.
Frequently asked questions about Gradr for students
What does a student get from Gradr?
In Gradr every student receives detailed, individualised formative feedback on their work — not only the students who think to ask. Feedback in Gradr is tied to the task's criteria, so the student sees both what is working and what to develop.
Who wrote the feedback a student sees?
The feedback always comes from the teacher. The AI in Gradr drafts wording, but the teacher reviews and approves every comment before the student sees it, and the teacher can rewrite or delete anything. Gradr never sets a grade for a student.
What support does Gradr offer students who need adaptations?
Gradr provides individual support in exam mode, such as text-to-speech and extended time per student. The teacher controls which adaptations apply to which student, and Gradr provides a digital writing surface for the exam.
