Teknik och Servicegymnasiet evaluated Gradr’s teacher platform for ten weeks, in both theoretical and practical courses, and is now introducing it to support formative feedback.

Teknik och Servicegymnasiet implements Gradr
During the spring term, Teknik och Servicegymnasiet (TS High School) conducted a thorough evaluation of Gradr, exploring how AI can be concretely integrated into their daily work. After a successful trial period, the school has now decided to introduce Gradr as an active support tool for teachers in their formative feedback processes.
TS High School is a smaller independent school offering a wide range of practical and technical courses. As with many smaller schools, this often means a high workload for staff and limited opportunities for co-assessment of student assignments and exams. A central question in the initial phase of collaborating with Gradr was therefore:
What is it like to assess together with Gradr’s AI assistant, both in theoretical and practical courses?
Two aspects were particularly important to evaluate:
- Does it reduce the teacher’s workload?
- How is the quality and phrasing of the feedback generated perceived?
To answer these questions, TS High School evaluated Gradr’s teacher platform over a ten-week period.
English teacher Filippa von Essen, who led the evaluation, put it this way:
"We want students to be part of the learning process, and with this formative feedback, they can grow and improve."
A general challenge with AI solutions, especially in education, is making it easy for users to give instructions so that the AI assistant responds in a way similar to how the teacher would have expressed themselves, both linguistically and structurally. This was something we worked on actively during the evaluation period and tested thoroughly.
Gradr enables users to efficiently describe how they want feedback for students to be formulated. The result is a system that delivers feedback with the right tone, structure, and application – without the teacher needing to spend time writing lengthy instructions.
We now look forward to continuing our collaboration with TS High School in the coming school year and further developing our services together with their dedicated teachers and students.
